Concord University in Athens, West Virginia, Names Its Next President

The board of governors of Concord University in Athens, West Virginia, has selected Kendra Boggess as the university’s 12th president. The university enrolls about 2,600 undergraduate students and 200 graduate students. Women make up 55 percent of the undergraduate student body. Dr. Boggess will begin her duties as president on July 1.

Dr. Boggess joined the faculty at Concord University in 1984 and taught courses in business communications and software applications. She has served as chair of the Division of Business, faculty president, associate dean, and academic dean.

Dr. Boggess is a graduate of St. Petersburg Junior College and the University of Florida. She earned a master’s degree and a doctorate in business education from Virginia Tech.
