Seven Women Taking On New Administrative Duties in Higher Education

davis_photoJean Davis was named the Paul J. McKee Jr. Associate Dean for Research at the Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College in St. Louis. Currently, she is associate dean for academic and clinical affairs at Wayne State University in Detroit. She will begin her new duties in February.

Dr. Davis is a graduate of Michigan State University. She earned a master’s degree at Hunter College in New York City and a Ph.D. at Arizona State University. Her research focuses on sleep.

crockettCrystal Crockett was appointed director of development for institutional diversity at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. She was the major gifts and annual fund officer at Virginia State University.

Crockett is a graduate of Virginia Tech, earning a bachelor’s degree in marketing management. She holds a master’s degree in media management from Virginia State University.

adams-BevBeverly Adams was named assistant curator of Latin American art at the Blanton Museum of Art at the University of Texas. She has been working at the Diane and Bruce Halle Collection in Scottsdale, Arizona, and teaching Latin American art at Arizona State University.

Earlier in her career, Adams was curator of contemporary art at the San Antonio Museum of Art and was director of the Latin American department at the Phoenix Art Museum.

Anguiano-MariaMaria Anguiano was named vice chancellor for planning and budget at the University of California, Riverside. She has been serving as interim deputy chief of staff for strategic planning and analysis in the office of the president of the University of California system.

Anguiano is a graduate of Claremont McKenna College in Claremont, California. She holds an MBA from Stanford University.

RandallRyann Randall was named assistant to the director of the Center for Inclusion, Diversity & Academic Success at Ohio State University.

Randall is a graduate of Columbus State Community College and Ohio State University, where she majored in product development. She is currently in the MBA program at Ohio State.

Sloan-NoelNoel Sloan is the new vice president for administration and finance and chief financial officer at Texas Tech University in Lubbock. Since July, she has been serving in the post on an interim basis. She has been on the staff at the university since 2006.

Sloan holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a juris doctorate from Baylor University.

Patricia JohnsonPatricia A. Johnson was appointed vice president for finance and administration at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. She has been serving as vice president for finance and treasurer at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. She has been on the staff at Cornell since 1995.

Johnson holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and an MBA with a concentration in finance from the University of Virginia.
