The New Dean of Applied Studies at Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas

munzerPat Munzer was named dean of the School of Applied Studies at Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas. Dr. Munzer joined the faculty at Washburn University in 1984 as program director in the respiratory therapy department. She was promoted to full professor in 2009.

Dr. Munzer holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Pittsburg State University in Kansas. She earned a doctorate in health sciences from Nova Southeastern University.

According to the latest Department of Education data, Washburn University enrolls about 6,400 undergraduate and 800 graduate students. Nearly 60 percent of the undergraduate students are women.
