Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg has announced the appointment of two women to positions in its Division of Student Affairs.
Heather Evans was named interim director of the Virginia Tech Leadership Education Collaborative, a leadership development initiative that will expand and enhance co-curricular and curricular leadership programs. She has been serving as director of fraternity and sorority life at the university. Before joining the staff at Virginia Tech, Evans was associate director of student activities and leadership at Radford University.
Evans is a graduate of the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. She holds an MBA from Radford University.
Sharrika Davis was appointed interim director of multicultural programs and services at Virginia Tech. She has been serving as associate dean of students at the university.
Dr. Davis holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Wake Forest University and a doctorate from Virginia Tech.

Cheryl Norman was appointed president of Ridgewater College in Minnesota and Ellen Kennedy was named interim president of Cape Cod Community College in Massachusetts.
