Three Women Join the Faculty at the Washington State University College of Pharmacy

The College of Pharmacy of Washington State University in Spokane has announced the hiring of four new faculty members. Three of the new faculty members are women. Each will hold the title of clinical assistant professor of pharmacy.
Julie Akers earned a doctor of pharmacy degree at Washington State in 2000 and since that time has been a practicing pharmacist. She is the past president of the Washington State Pharmacy Association.
Connie Remsberg holds a doctor of pharmacy degree and a Ph.D. in pharmaceutical sciences from Washington State University. She has spent the past two years conducting postdoctoral research at the University of California at San Francisco.
Shannon C. Panther earned a doctor of pharmacy degree from Washington State University in 2005. She worked as a pharmacist for one year at Target Corporation and since 2006 has worked for Costco Wholesale, most recently as pharmacy manager for the mail order division.
