Sarah Adams was named the Richard F. French Librarian at the Eda Kuhn Loeb Music Library at Harvard University. She joined the staff of Harvard College Libraries in 1995 and has been serving as interim director of the Music Library for the past two years.
Dr. Adams is a graduate of Bates College in Lewiston, Maine. She holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in musicology from Cornell University.
Mary Clare Altenhofen was appointed the Herman and Joan Suit Librarian for the Fine Arts Library. She joined the staff at Harvard College Libraries in 1995. In 2007 she was named associate librarian for research and public services at the Fine Arts Library. She has been serving as interim director since 2010.
Altenhofen earned a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in the art history from the University of California at Davis. She earned a master of library science degree at the University of California at Berkeley.
Dr. Scarlatta has led the University of Michigan-Dearbon on an interim basis for the past year. Pending approval from the board of regents, she is slated to become the university's permanent leader on May 22.
