Five Women Promoted to Full Professor at the University of Wyoming

university_of_wyomingThe University of Wyoming has announced the promotions of five women to the rank of full professor.

straussSarah Strauss was named professor of anthropology. Professor Strauss is a graduate of Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire. She holds a master of public health degree from San Jose State University and a Ph.D. in cultural anthropology from the University of Pennsylvania. She joined the faculty at the University of Wyoming in 1995.

Cynthia WeinigCynthia Weinig was appointed professor of botany. Dr. Weinig is a graduate of Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, where she double majored in German and biology. She holds a Ph.D. in ecology and evolutionary biology from Indiana University in Bloomington.

Stacey Baker, portraitsStacey K. Baker was promoted to professor of management and marketing in the university’s College of Business. Professor Baker holds a bachelor’s degree, an MBA, and a Ph.D., all from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.

p-colberg2Patricia J.S. Colberg was appointed professor of civil and architectural engineering. She has taught at the University of Wyoming since 1987 and joined the full-time faculty in 1992. Dr. Colberg is a graduate of North Dakota State University. She holds a master’s degree from the University of Idaho and a Ph.D. in civil and environmental engineering from Stanford University.

martin-lindaLinda G. Martin was promoted to full professor of social and administrative pharmacy in the university’s School of Pharmacy. She holds a bachelor’s degree and an MBA from the University of Wyoming and a doctor of pharmacy degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.
