Diana Wall Wins the Tyler Prize for Environmental Achievement

WallDianaDiana Wall, professor of biology and director of the School of Global Environmental Sustainability at Colorado State University, has won The Tyler Prize for Environmental Achievement. As the winner of the Tyler Prize, Professor Wall will receive a $200,000 cash prize and a gold medal. The Tyler Prize is awarded by the international Tyler Prize Executive Committee with the administrative support of the University of Southern California.

Dr. Wall has conducted more than 25 expeditions to Antarctica, where Wall Valley has been named in her honor. There she has conducted research on soil biodiversity and ecosystem processes as they relate to world climate change.

Dr. Wall, holds a bachelor’s degree and a Ph.D. in plant pathology from the University of Kentucky.
