Sarah Feldner Named Acting Provost at Marquette University

Sarah Feldner has been selected to serve as acting provost and executive vice president for academic affairs at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Dr. Feldner has been a faculty member with Marquette University for over two decades. A full professor of communication, she has served as dean of the Diederich College of Communication for the past four years. Prior to her current role, she served as the college’s associate dean for graduate studies and research.

As a scholar, Dr. Feldner conducts research on corporate communication, corporate social responsibility, organizational advocacy, organizational mission and identity, and social innovation and entrepreneurship. She is a member of several professional organizations including the National Communication Association and the International Communication Association.

“I am honored to serve as Marquette’s acting provost, and I want to thank President Ah Yun for this opportunity to lead the university’s academic enterprise as a member of the Executive Leadership Team,” said Dr. Feldner. “There are great opportunities in front of us at Marquette, and when we let our Catholic, Jesuit mission guide us and maintain our focus on student success and well-being, Marquette will, indeed, thrive.”

Dr. Feldner received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Kentucky, a master’s degree from Indiana University, and a Ph.D. in organizational communication from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.
