Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, has partnered with Bank of America to launch The Bank of America Institute for Women’s Entrepreneurship at Cornell.
The institute offers an opportunity for women entrepreneurs to obtain a business certificate from an Ivy League university at no cost. The free, 12-week online program provides a unique curriculum tailored by scholars at Cornell Law School, the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management, Entrepreneurship at Cornell, and eCornell. The coursework will teach students about several areas of business such as finance, product development, marketing, leadership and communication skills, and legal and compliance requirements. Students will also be provided with professional networking opportunities.
Bank of America established the institute as part of the company’s wider initiative to advance racial equality and economic opportunity. The program offers both English and Spanish curricula in an effort to reach as many entrepreneurs as possible. Enrollment is open to anyone worldwide, regardless of gender, educational background, or business stage.
To enroll in the Bank of America Institute for Women’s Entrepreneurship certificate, students must register for a 30-minute virtual information session hosted weekly by Bank of America to answer questions and share expectations of the program. Interested students can register for the information session here.
