Michelle Majewski Is the Seventeenth President of Marian University in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin

Michelle Majewski is the seventeenth president of Marian University in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. She has been serving as acting president since April 2000. Dr. Majewski has been associated with the university for more than three decades as a full-time faculty member, chair, dean, and professor emerita. She will serve as president through June 30, 2023.

Marian University, affiliated with the Roman Catholic Church, enrolls about 1,300 undergraduate students and approximately 300 graduate students, according to the most recent statistics available from the U.S. Department of Education. Women make up 69 percent of the undergraduate student body.

“A lot has changed at Marian University over the past several months, but not my belief in its time-honored mission, the opportunities we offer students, and our importance to the Fond du Lac and surrounding communities,” President Majewski said. “Right now we are facing significant challenges, but Marian University is among the few institutions in Wisconsin undeniably ready to take them on, and with the group of dedicated faculty and staff walking our campus, we’re well-equipped to work together to find the solutions that will promote success for our students.”

Dr. Majewski is the founding editor of the Journal of Homeland Security Education. She holds a bachelor’s degree and two master’s degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. She earned a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Adler Univerity in Chicago.
