Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas, Announces the Hiring of Three Women to Its Faculty

Jericka S. Battle is a new instructor of psychology. She will teach courses in statistics, research methods, stereotyping and prejudice, and social cognition. Her primary research interest centers on identifying and testing systems of power that may have negative effects on underrepresented minority groups in organizations and in the broader scope of society. Battle is a 2016 graduate of Hendrix College and is expected to earn her Ph.D. in 2021 at Texas A&M University.

Latorya D. Hicks was appointed an assistant professor of chemistry. She will teach courses in organic chemistry. She has been serving as an adjunct faculty member. Dr. Hicks is a 1995 graduate of Lane College in Jackson, Tennessee, and completed her Ph.D. at Wesleyan University in Connecticut in 2004. She completed postdoctoral studies in pediatric oncology at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis. Her research involved the identification, synthesis, and molecular modeling of novel carboxylesterase inhibitors for an anticancer drug.

Rosilyn Sanders was named an instructor of psychology. Her research centers on the inclusivity of people with disabilities in corporate America. She will teach introductory courses in psychology, as well as abnormal psychology, counseling and theories, and personality. Sanders is a 2007 graduate of Philander Smith College in Little Rock, Arkansas. She earned a master’s degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 2011 and will complete a doctorate in organizational leadership psychology in December 2020 at William James College in Newton, Massachusetts.
