Wendy Hadley, an associate professor in the College of Education, was named director of the HEDCO Clinic at the University of Oregon, a training clinic, where educators, psychologists, therapists and faculty researchers collaborate to help children and families. Dr. Hadley was an associate professor of psychiatry and human behavior at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.
Dr. Hadley is a graduate of the University of Florida, where she majored in psychology. She holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Memphis.
Teri W. Odom, the Charles E. and Emma H. Morrison professor of chemistry and chair of the chemistry department at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, was named editor-in-chief of Nano Letters. A publication of the American Chemical Society, the journal features fundamental research in all branches of the practice and theory of nanoscience and nanotechnology.
Professor Odom is a graduate of Stanford University. She earned a Ph.D. at Harvard University.
Adrienne Morgan, assistant dean for medical education diversity and inclusion and an assistant professor in the division of Medical Humanities and Bioethics in the School of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Rochester in New York, has been named associate vice president in the university’s Office of Equity and Inclusion.
Dr. Morgan earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She holds a master’s degree in cross-disciplinary professional studies from the Rochester Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. in higher education from the Warner Graduate School of Education and Human Development at the University of Rochester.
Lynne Parker, a professor in the department of electrical engineering and computer science at the University of Tennesee, was named deputy chief technology officer in the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. She is on loan to the federal government while retaining her faculty position.
Dr. Parker is a graduate of Tennessee Tech University, where she majored in computer science. She holds a master’s degree from the University of Tennessee and a Ph.D. in computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Barna Saha is a new assistant professor of industrial engineering at the University of California, Berkeley. She was an assistant professor in the College of Information and Computer Sciences at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
Dr. Saha is a graduate of Jadavpur University in India. She earned a master’s degree in computer science and engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur and a Ph.D. in computer science from the University of Maryland College Park.
Altha Stewart was appointed senior associate dean for community health engagement in the College of Medicine at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. She also serves as an associate professor of psychiatry, the director of the Center for Health in Justice Involved Youth, and chief of Social and Community Psychiatry.
Dr. Stewart is a past president of the American Psychiatric Association. A native of Memphis, Tennessee, Dr. Stewart graduated from Christian Brothers University in Memphis. She completed her medical degree at Temple University Medical School and her residency at Hahnemann University Hospital, both in Philadelphia.
