Kris E. Watson, assistant director of information access in disability services at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, passed away on March 29, 2019. She was 46 years old.
Watson was a member for the university community for 28 years, beginning as a student in 1991. Since 2010, she served in several roles in disability services, including exam proctoring coordinator, consumer manager, and the assistant director of information access. Throughout her career, she was an advocate for students with disabilities and she often served as a bridge between students and instructors.
Watson held a bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
