Misericordia University in Dallas, Pennsylvania, Promotes Four Women to Associate Professor

Anna Fedor has been named an associate professor of chemistry. She is the chair of the department of chemistry and biochemistry and has been a Misericordia faculty member since 2008. She teaches courses in chemical principles, inorganic and physical chemistry, and oversees a research program for undergraduates in the areas of physical and computational chemistry.
Dr. Fedor is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University where she majored in chemistry. She holds a Ph.D. in chemistry from Syracuse University in New York.
Jessica Sofranko Kisenwether has been named an associate professor of speech-language pathology. She has been a Misericordia faculty member since 2015. Her research focuses on subjective and objective measures of speech, voice, dysphagia and dysfluency.
Dr. Kisenwether holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in speech-language pathology both from Misericordia University, and a Ph.D. in communication sciences and disorders from Pennsylvania State University.
Jodi Pickarski Loughlin has been named an associate professor of teacher education. She has been a Misericordia faculty member sine 2011, where she teaches a range of courses, including reading methods, classroom management, language arts methods, and collaborating with families.
Dr. Loughlin is a graduate of Moravian College in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, where she majored in sociology. She holds a master’s degree in education from Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania and a doctorate in adult education from Pennsylvania State University.
Susan McDonald has been named an associate professor of social work. She is chair of the department of social work and has been a Misericordia faculty member since 2013. She has also served as Misericordia’s director of field education for social work. Additionally she is a contributing author on the forthcoming book Contemporary Issues in Childhood and Adolescence: Narrating Ecological Perspectives (Columbia University Press).
Dr. McDonald is graduate of King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, where she majored in criminal justice. She holds a master of social work degree from Marywood University in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and a Ph.D. in social work from Fordham University in New York.
