Mary Feeney Appointed Editor of the Journal of Public Administration Research and Theory

Mary Feeney has been named the editor of the Journal of Public Administration Research and Theory (JPART). The publication is one of the most prestigious journals in the public administration field. Dr. Feeney will assume her new role in January.

Currently, Dr. Feeney is an associate professor and Lincoln Professor of Ethics in Public Affairs in the School of Public Affairs at Arizona State University. She also serves as the associate director of the ASU Center for Science, Technology, and Environmental Policy Studies. Her research focuses on public and nonprofit management, sector comparisons, and science and technology policy.

In addition to her faculty positions at ASU, Dr. Feeney serves on the Public Management Research Association leadership board and has been a member of the association for more than 10 years. She also has been serving as the book review editor for JPART and on the JPART Board of Editors.

“My own experiences publishing and reviewing for the Journal of Public Administration Research and Theory and my active role at Public Management Research Association have prepared to me take on this important role in our research community,” said Dr. Feeney.

Dr. Feeney holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Wyoming, a master’s degree in public policy from Rutgers University in New Jersey, and a Ph.D in public administration and policy from the University of Georgia.
