April Mason to Serve as Provost at New Mexico State University

April C. Mason has been named interim provost at New Mexico State University. She is expected to serve in this new position from November 1st through the current academic year.
Most recently, Dr. Mason served as provost and senior vice president at Kansas State University. Prior to Kansas State, she served in both faculty and administrative roles at Colorado State University and Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. She has chaired the Association of Public and Land Grant Council on Academic Affairs and was a founder of the Association of Chief Academic Officers.
Dr. Mason holds a master’s degree in botany and a Ph.D. in nutrition both from Purdue University.
