Sara Bachman has been appointed dean of the School of Social Policy and Practice at the University of Pennsylvania. Formerly, she was the Paul Farmer Professor in the School of Social Work, a research professor in the School of Public Health, and the first-ever director of the Center for Innovation in Social Work and Health at Boston University.
Dr. Bachman holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, a master’s degree in epidemiology from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and a doctorate in health policy from the Heller School at Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts.
Carol M. Musil has been named interim dean of the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Additionally, she will continue to hold her position as the Marvin E. and Ruth Durr Denekas Professor of Nursing.
Dr. Musil holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Cincinnati and a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in nursing from Case Western Reserve University.
