In Memoriam: Casey Lynn Hanson, 1968-2018

Casey Hanson, a fundraising executive at the University of Idaho, died at the Gritman Medical Center in Moscow, Idaho, on July 2. She was 49 years old.

A graduate of Boise High School in Idaho, Hanson was a graduate of the University of Idaho, where she double majored in communication and agricultural economics. She earned a master’s degree in educational leadership from Washington State University.

Hanson began her career in the Alumni Office at the University of Idaho. She later held fundraising posts at Washington State University. She then became director of corporate and foundation relations at the University of Idaho before recently being named director of development for the College of Education at the university.
