Darcy Medica to Lead the Schuykill Campus of Pennsylvania State University

Darcy MedicaDarcy L. Medica was named interim chancellor of the Schuylkill campus of Pennsylvania State University, effective August 1. The campus enrolls about 800 students and women make up 60 percent of the student body.

Dr. Medica joined the faculty at Penn State-Schuylkill in 2003. She has been serving as director of academic affairs and associate professor of biology.

In accepting her appointment, Dr. Medica said “I look forward to working with our excellent faculty and staff to further current initiatives and programs in response to campus and community needs.”

Dr. Medica holds a bachelor’s degree, a master’s degree, and a Ph.D. in animal sciences, all from Rutgers University in New Jersey.
