Mary Holz-Clause Appointed Chancellor of the University of Minnesota Crookston

The new chancellor of the University of Minnesota CrookstonMary Holz-Clause will become the next chancellor of the University of Minnesota Crookston on June 30. The university, in far northwestern Minnesota, enrolls about 2,800 students. Women make up 53 percent of the student body.

“I am excited to join the University of Minnesota Crookston community,” said Dr. Holz-Clause. “The campus is a treasure for the area and the entire state. I look forward to working with the students, staff, and faculty — as well as the residents and leaders of the region — to grow the University of Minnesota Crookston and its research, outreach, and service to the region and beyond.”

Dr. Holz-Clause has been serving as a tenured professor and dean of the Huntley College of Agriculture at California State Polytechnic University Pomona. Earlier, she was vice president for economic development at the University of Connecticut.

Dr. Holz-Clause holds a bachelor’s degree in agriculture business, a master of public administration degree and a Ph.D. in agriculture education and extension at Iowa State University.
