Bryn Mawr College Launches Major Fundraising Campaign

Bryn Mawr College, the highly rated liberal arts educational institution for women has launched a $250 million fundraising campaign. The college is off to a flying start, raising $135 million in the “quiet phase” of the campaign before the official launch. The funds raised will be used to bolster the endowment, provide student scholarships, recruit faculty to the college, and to support college infrastructure.
Kim Cassidy, president of Bryn Mawr College, issued a statement about the fundraising campaign, explaining that “Bryn Mawr is committed to promoting academic excellence, expanding opportunities for women, and preparing students for lives of purposeful action. This campaign will support us in continuing that mission, which benefits our students and the world they will one day lead.”
Dr. Cassidy became the ninth president of Bryn Mawr College in 2014. She joined the faculty at the college in 1993 and was named provost in 2007. Dr. Cassidy is a graduate of Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania. She holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Pennsylvania.
