Glena Temple Will Be the Next President of Viterbo University in La Crosse, Wisconsin

gtempleThe board of trustees of Viterbo University named Glena Temple as the educational institution’s next president. She will take office on January 1.

Viterbo University, affiliated with the Roman Catholic Church, enrolls about 1,900 undergraduate students and 900 graduate students. Women make up 75 percent of the undergraduate student body.

Dr. Temple joined the faculty at Viterbo University in 2001 and served as dean of the School of Letters and Sciences from 2008 to 2013. She was appointed vice president for academic affairs in 2015.

Dr. Temple is a graduate of Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania, where she majored in biology. She earned a master’s degree in educational policy and administration from the University of Minnesota and a Ph.D. in botany and plant sciences from the University of California, Berkeley.
