The Next President of Fresno City College in California

The State Center Community College District Board of Trustees has appointed Carole S. Goldsmith as president of Fresno City College in California. The two-year college enrolls more than 22,000 students. Women make up 52 percent of the undergraduate student body.
Dr. Goldsmith has been serving as president of the Coalinga campus of West Hills College. Earlier, she held senior leadership positions at the West Hills Community College District.
“I am honored to serve as the president of Fresno City College,” Dr. Goldsmith stated. “I’m excited to join the FCC team and to work with excellent faculty, staff and administrators committed to transforming the lives of our students.”
Dr. Goldsmith earned her bachelor’s degree California State University, Fresno, where she majored in history. She holds a master’s degree in educational administration from National University in Fresno and her earned doctorate in educational leadership from the joint doctoral program at University of California, Davis and California State University, Fresno.
