The New President of the American Academy of Oral Medicine

Wendy S. Hupp, an associate professor and interim chair of the department of general dentistry and oral medicine at the School of Dentistry at the University of Louisville, is the new president of the American Academy of Oral Medicine. The Academy, headquartered in Seattle, was founded in 1945.
Dr. Hupp has served on the faculty at the University of Louisville since 2007. She is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine. After practicing dentistry for six years in suburban Philadelphia, Dr. Hupp joined the U.S. Navy Dental Corps and was stationed with the Marines at Camp LeJeune during the first Gulf War. She then received her residency training in oral diagnosis, oral medicine, and oral and maxillofacial radiology at the Naval Postgraduate Dental School in Bethesda, Maryland.
