Nancy Roseman to Leave Presidency of Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania

Nancy A. Roseman has announced that she will step down as president of Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, on June 30. She is Dickinson 28th president and the first woman to lead the liberal arts college. Dickinson College, located just west of Harrisburg, enrolls nearly 2,400 students. Women are 58 percent of the study body.
Dr. Roseman has served as president for just three years. In her announcement, President Roseman said “it is an ideal time for me to pursue other professional and personal goals.”
Prior to her appointment as president of Dickinson College in 2013, Dr. Roseman was a professor of biology at Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts. She served as dean of the college at Williams from 2000 to 2007.
Dr. Roseman is 1980 graduate of Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts. She earned a Ph.D. in microbiology at Oregon State University.
