Sabrina Sanders was promoted to director of student affairs projects and initiatives in the Office of the Chancellor of California State University. She was assistant director of student programs in student academic support. Dr. Sanders is the former dean of student affairs at Long Beach City College in California.
Dr. Sanders holds a bachelor’s degree and an MBA from California State University, San Marcos. She earned a doctorate in educational leadership and management from Alliant International University.
Kerri Garcia was named director of communications at the University of Nevada, Reno, effective April 1. She was serving as community relations and communications manager for Microsoft Inc. Earlier she was director of entertainment and public relations for Harrah’s Northern Nevada.
Garcia is a graduate of the School of Journalism at the University of Nevada, Reno, where she received a full athletic scholarship to play tennis.
Monica Green was appointed director of the Neal-Marshall Black Culture Center at Indiana University in Bloomington. She has been serving as director of the Hap Center for Cross Cultural Education and associate director of student life for multicultural affairs at Hanover College in Indiana.
Green is a graduate of Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. She holds a master’s degree in higher education from Mississippi College in Clinton and is currently pursuing doctorate studies in higher education leadership through Azuza Pacific University in California.

Rogers is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, where she majored in journalism.

Jefferson is a graduate of Hampton University, where she majored in mass media.

Harjani is a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Illinois. She earned her law degree at Northwestern University.

Lewis is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Cruz, where she majored in legal studies and politics. She earned a master’s degree in public administration from California State University, East Bay in Hayward.

Dr. Nelson is a graduate of the State University of New York at Potsdam. She earned a master’s degree at Bowling Green State University in Ohio and a doctorate in higher education administration from Syracuse University in New York.

Buxton is a graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where she majored in African American literature. She holds a master’s degree in student affairs in higher education from Indiana State University.

Willett earned a bachelor’s degree in English at Washington and Lee University in 1995.

Jackson is a graduate of the University of Michigan, where she majored in English. She earned her law degree at Wayne State University.

Dr. Eriksonn is a graduate of the University of Kentucky where she majored in geology. She holds a master’s degree from Stony Brook University of the State University of New York System and a Ph.D. from University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa.
