Three Women Join the Tenure-Track Faculty at Saint Gregory’s University in Oklahoma

Saint Gregory’s University in Shawnee, Oklahoma, was founded in 1875. It enrolls about 620 undergraduate students and 30 graduate students. Women make up 53 percent of the student body. The university recently announced the hiring of three women to tenure-track faculty positions.
Kristina Booker is a new assistant professor in the department of humanities. Her research focuses on eighteenth- and nineteenth-century British literature. Dr. Booker is a graduate of Oklahoma Christian University in Edmond and holds a master’s degree in English from the University of Oklahoma and a Ph.D. in English literature from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.
Ann “Katie” Egging was hired as an assistant professor of English to teach classes in composition, literature, and the humanities. She was an assistant professor of English at Union College in Barbourville, Kentucky. Dr. Egging holds a master’s degree in English from Emporia State University in Kansas and a Ph.D. in English from the University of Kansas.
Amanda Kashwer is a new assistant professor in the department of natural sciences and mathematics. She was a health promotion education at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City. Earlier she was an adjunct professor at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond and Oklahoma City University. Dr. Kashwer is a graduate of East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma. She earned a master’s degree in kinesiology education at the University of Central Oklahoma and a Ph.D. in health, leisure, and human performance at Oklahoma State University.
