Rebecca Basham, a playwright and an associate professor of English at Rider University in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, died at her home on July 22. She was 48 years old.
Basham joined the faculty at Rider University in 2002. She was the author of several plays, some of which were performed around the country including at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C.
Basham held bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Southeastern Louisiana State University in Hammond and a master of fine arts degree in creative writing from the University of New Orleans.
