SUNY Buffalo State Names Its Next Provost

perreaultMelanie L. Perreault was appointed provost and vice president for academic affairs at Buffalo State, State University of New York. Currently, Dr. Perreault is associate provost and a professor of history at Salisbury University in Maryland. She will begin her new job on July 20.

Dr. Perreault joined the faculty at Salisbury University in 2000 and served as chair of the department of history from 2008 to 2010. Previously, she served on the faculty at the University of Central Arkansas.

Professor Perreault is a graduate of Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin. She holds a Ph.D. in history from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. In 2006, Professor Perreault appeared on the television game show Jeopardy!
