Cottey College in Nevada, Missouri, Names Its Next President

Cottey College, a liberal arts educational institution for women in Nevada, Missouri, has chosen Jann Rudd Weitzel as its 12th president. She will take office on June 15. According to the latest U.S. Department of Education data, Cottey College enrolls less than 300 students.

Dr. Weitzel has been serving as provost and a professor of education at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri. She joined the faculty at Lindenwood University in 1994.

Dr. Weitzel holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls and a Ph.D. from the University of Iowa.
