Since 2017, Dr. Orinthia T. Montague has been president of Tompkins Cortland Community College in Dryden, New York. She previously served as vice president of student affairs and chief diversity officer, and dean of students, at Normandale Community College in Bloomington, Minnesota, and as dean of students at the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
Tawni Hunt Ferrarini, the Robert W. Plaster Professor of Economic Education at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri, has received the 2020 Patricia Elder International Award. The honor is awarded jointly by the National Association of Economic Educators and the Council of Economic Education.
In 1971, Karen Glaser was appointed dean of students at the University of New Mexico. She held that post for the next 26 years until her retirement in 1997.
Jann Rudd Weitzel will take office as the 12th president of Cottey College on June 15. Dr. Weitzel has been serving as provost and a professor of education at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri.
The new deans are Judith Langlois at the University of Texas, Reeta Piirala-Skoglund at Lindenwood University, Julie Marfell at Frontier Nursing University in Kentucky, and Karlene Hoo at Montana State University.
