Margaret B. Lee, president of Oakton Community College in Des Plains, Illinois, announced that she will retire at the end of the 2014-15 academic year. She made the announcement now so the board of trustees would have ample time to find her successor.
Dr. Lee has been president of the college since 1995. Previously, she served for a decade as vice president for academic affairs at the college. She holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in English language and literature from the University of Chicago.
