Pomona College Statistician Wins Accolade from the Mathematical Association of America

Johanna Hardin, professor of mathematics at Pomona College in Claremont, California, recently received the Robert V. Hogg Award for Excellence in Teaching Introductory Statistics from the Special Interest Group of the Mathematical Association of America. The award is given to a faculty member who has taught statistics for at least three but not more than 15 years and who has shown excellence and growth in teaching skills.
Dr. Hardin has been on the faculty at Pomona College since 2002. She is a graduate of Pomona College and holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in statistics from the University of California at Davis.
