Two Women University Executives Announce Their Retirements

Jean Landa Pytel, assistant dean for student services and global programs and associate professor of engineering science and mechanics at Pennsylvania State University, has announced that she will retire at the end of 2013. Dr. Pytel has served on the faculty at Penn State since 1979 and has been assistant dean for nearly 20 years.
Dr. Pytel is a graduate of York University in Toronto. She holds a master’s degree in physical education from Washington State University and a Ph.D. in biomechanics from Penn State.
Trudy Anderson, associate vice president of the University of Idaho and CEO of the university’s Boise campus, has announced that she will step down from her post at the end of the calendar year. She has led the Boise campus of the university for the past seven years.
Dr. Anderson is a graduate of Oregon State University, where she majored in sociology. She holds a doctorate in higher education administration from Ohio State University.
