Goddard College President Announces That She Is Stepping Down

vacarrBarbara Vacarr, president of Goddard College in Plainview, Vermont, announced that she will step down at the end of the year, two years before the end of her contract. President Vacarr stated that she needed to “focus on her family.” Both her daughter and parents are struggling with health problems.

Dr. Vacarr has been president of the liberal arts college since 2010. Before coming to Goddard she served on the faculty at Lesley University for 23 and directed the Ph.D. program in the university’s College of Education.

President Vacarr holds a Ph.D. in psychology from the Union Institute.
