UNC-Wilmington Official to Be Honored by NASPA

Patricia Leonard, vice chancellor for student affairs at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, has been chosen to receive the John Jones Award for Outstanding Performance as a Senior Student Affairs Officer from NASPA, the association of student affairs professionals. The award is presented to individuals who “demonstrate sustained professional service as a senior student affairs officer, meriting respect and support of students, faculty, and fellow administrators on his/her campus.” She will receive the award in Austin, Texas, in June.
Leonard has been vice chancellor for student affairs for 17 years and has been on the staff at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington for 30 years.
