Penelope Moyers Earns the Highest Honor of the American Occupational Therapy Association

Penelope Moyers, dean of the Henrietta Schmoll School of Health and dean of the Graduate College at St. Catherine University in Minnesota, received the Award of Merit, the highest honor bestowed by the American Occupational Therapy Association. The award recognizes an outstanding contribution to the profession of occupational therapy. The award has been given to only 74 occupational therapists since 1950.
Dr. Moyers is the co-author of Guide to Occupational Therapy Practice, now in its second edition. She is a graduate of the University of Missouri and holds a master’s degree from the University of Louisville and a doctorate in adult education from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana.
