Professor Alison Galloway Honored by the American Academy of Forensic Sciences

Alison Galloway, UCSC professor of anthropology and EVC-designateAlison Galloway, professor of anthropology and provost and executive vice chancellor at the University of California at Santa Cruz, recently received the T. Dale Stewart Award from the American Academy of Forensic Sciences. The award is the highest honor bestowed by the physical anthropology section of the AAFS.

Professor Galloway, who joined the faculty at the University of California Santa Cruz in 1990, is a frequent consultant to law enforcement officials and helps them identify human remains. She also serves frequently as an expert witness in homicide cases.

Professor Galloway is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley. She earned a master’s degree and a Ph.D. at the University of Arizona.
