Ole Miss Professor to Lead the Association for Play Therapy

Marilyn Snow, a professor of leadership and counselor education at the University of Mississippi, was elected chair of the board of directors of the Association for Play Therapy. Play therapy is a form of psychotherapy where mental health professionals observe children’s behavior during play in a safe, monitored environment.
Professor Snow joined the faculty at Ole Miss after teaching at Delta State University, Mercer University, and Georgia State University. At Ole Miss, she is also the director of the Child Advocacy and Play Therapy Institute.
Dr. Snow holds bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in counseling from Georgia State University.
