Two New Associate Deans of Nursing at South Dakota State University

The College of Nursing at South Dakota State University in Brookings has announced the appointment of two associate deans.
Linda Herrick was named associate dean for undergraduate nursing. She was a nurse research scientist at the Mayo Clinic and a clinical associate professor at the School of Nursing at the University of Minnesota. She is a graduate of Winona State University in Minnesota and earned master’s and doctoral degrees at the University of Minnesota.
Lynette Leeseberg Stamler was appointed associate dean of graduate nursing. For the past eight years, Dr. Stamler has served on the faculty at the College of Nursing at the University of Saskatchewan. Since 2008, she has been an assistant dean. From 1996 to 2001, she was the director of nursing research at the Mayo Clinic. Dr. Stamler, a former president of the Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing, is a graduate of St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. She holds a master’s degree from the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg and a doctorate from the University of Cincinnati.
