The New Leader of the International Association for Dental Research

Mary MacDougall, professor in the department of oral and maxillofacial surgery and holder of the James R. Rosen Chair of Dental Research at the University of Alabama Birmingham was elected president of the International Association for Dental Research (IADR) at the organization’s 90th General Session and Exhibition in Brazil.
Professor MacDougall is also the associate dean for research and director of the Institute of Oral Health Research and the Global Center for Craniofacial at UAB. She has been involved with IADR since 1987. The organization has 12,000 members worldwide.
Dr. MacDougall is a graduate of the University of California at San Diego. She holds a Ph.D. in craniofacial biology from the Ostrow School of Dentistry at the University of Southern California.
