Three New Associate Deans of Nursing at Arizona State University

The College of Nursing and Health Innovation at Arizona State University has announced the appointment of three women to associate dean positions.

Brenda Morris, a clinical associate professor and director of baccalaureate nursing programs at the university, was named associate dean of academic affairs. Dr. Morris joined the faculty at Arizona State in 1994. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Arizona and an educational doctorate from Arizona State University.

Elizabeth Reifsnider, the Nancy Melvin Professor of Pediatrics, was named associate dean for research. Dr. Reifsnider joined the Arizona State University faculty last year. She previously was the Constance Brewer Kommey Professor of Nursing and associate dean for research at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. Professor Reifsnider is a graduate of Avilia College in Kansas City, Missouri. She holds a master’s degree from the University of Oklahoma and a Ph.D. from the University of Texas.

Evelyn Cesarotti is the inaugural associate dean for operations at the ASU nursing school. She has been serving and will continue to serve as an associate professor of nursing. She previously was the associate dean for academic affairs. Dr. Cesarotti has been a member of the faculty since 1992. She is a graduate of the University of West Florida and holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. from the University of Arizona.
