Sandra Jordan Named Chancellor at the University of South Carolina Aiken

Sandra J. Jordan was selected as the next chancellor of the University of South Carolina Aiken. The university enrolls about 3,200 students and two thirds of them are women.
Dr. Jordan has been serving as provost and vice president for academic affairs at Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville. Prior to joining GCSU, Jordan held teaching and administrative appointments at the University of Montevallo, Eastern New Mexico University, Murray State University, and Mississippi University for Women.
Dr. Jordan is a graduate of the University of Alabama. She holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in art history from the University of Georgia.
