Posted on May 05, 2011 | Comments 1
According to a report in the Louisville Courier Journal, three women have filed a sexual discrimination lawsuit against the University of Louisville and its dental school. Two of the women were administrative assistants. The third plaintiff, Melanie Peterson, is a faculty member and former associate dean. The administrative assistants said they were excluded from departmental meeting and assigned set periods for lunch whereas male employees could take lunch whenever they wanted. Two of the women allege they were forced from their jobs after accusing a male employee of misusing a university credit card. Professor Peterson claims she was pressured to resign as associate dean for clinics and postdoctoral education.
