H. Kim Bottomly became the 13th president of Wellesley College on August 1, 2007. Previously, she was deputy provost at Yale University and professor of immunobiology at the Yale University School of Medicine.

In Memoriam: Elga Ruth Wasserman, 1924-2014
A native of Berlin, Germany, Elga Wasserman and her family fled the Nazis in 1936 and settled in New York. After graduating from Smith College and obtaining a Ph.D. in organic chemistry, Dr. Wasserman oversaw the transition to co-education at Yale University.
