Forbes Isais was the first woman to serve as dean of the School of Architecture and Planning at the University of New Mexico, where she taught for 14 years. She was also the first Hispanic president of the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture.
Here is this week’s listing of women faculty members from colleges and universities throughout the United States who have been appointed to new positions or have been assigned new duties.
The new deans are Maria Fuentes-Martin at Louisiana State University, Margaret Fitzgerald at North Dakota State University, Sue Vessella at Woodbury University in California, and Sarah E. Insley at Yale University.
