A member of the staff at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, New York, has been accused of videotaping women cadets without their consent. Some of the videotape footage showed the women cadets in the bathroom or in the shower.
Of the 80 reported sexual assaults this year, 38 of the victims sought medical help or advocacy services but did not seek an official investigation or press sexual assault charges.
The suit alleges that the academies have a "high tolerance for sexual predators in their ranks and 'zero tolerance' for those who report rape, sexual assault, and harassment."
