The new deans are Angela Pool-Funai at the University of Wyoming, Catherine Bradshaw at Johns Hopkins University, Katherine Eggert at the University of Colorado Boulder, Marcia Weiss at Thomas Jefferson University, Yael Grushka-Cockayne at the University of Virginia, Azadeh Keivani at Lehman College, and Julie Amador at the University of Idaho.
Most recently, Dr. Van Vlerah served as vice president for student success and institutional strategy at Manchester University in Indiana. She is slated to become the fifteenth president of Notre Dame of Maryland University on July 6.
The new deans are Kristin Eschenfelder, Gena Southall, Tracey Gregory, Ceridwyn King, Anne Stevens, Melanie Landon-Hays, Melanie Bloom, Carolyn Pepper, Deborah Farringer, and Kirsten Hokeness.
The women who have been appointed to endowed positions are Rachna Shroff at the University of Arizona, Heather Johnson at the University of Montana, Analena Bruce at the University of New Hampshire, Judy Staley at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, and Katelyn Kotlarek at the University of Wyoming.
The new endowed professors are Rachel Weber at Harvard University, Susan Daniel at Cornell University, Tarissa Spoonhunter at the University of Wyoming, and Gözde Göncü-Berk at the University of California, Davis.
The new provosts are Anne Alexander at the University of Wyoming, Pamela Bacon at Luther College in Iowa, and Catherine Edmonds at North Carolina A&T State University.
The women appointed to endowed professorships are Jean Garrison at the University of Wyoming, Dorthy Schafer at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School, Tamara Mix at Oklahoma State University, Ann O'Connell at Rutgers University in New Jersey, Cassie Miura at San Francisco State University, and Jessica Henry at Hastings College in Nebraska.
The women faculty who are taking on new roles are Kisha Cunningham Aites at Savannah State University in Georgia, Melissa Morris at the University of Wyoming, Wei-Zen Wei at Wayne State University in Detroit, Shannon Wanless at the University of Pittsburgh, Lynne McLandsborough at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and Katherine McDonald at Syracuse University in New York.
Currently serving as dean of the University of Wyoming's nursing school, Dr. Smith focuses her work on nursing education. She is a dedicated advocate for simulation technology in education, such as using robotic patients for nurse training.
The new endowed professors are Gina Yosten at the Missouri University of Science and Technology, Miia Kivipelto at the Yale School of Nursing, Molly Burchett at the University of Wyoming, and Manya Magnus at George Washington University.
Marlene Tromp comes to her new role from Boise State University in Idaho, where she has served as president for the past six years. Her background includes administrative and academic experience at several institutions across the country.
The five women in new faculty roles are Jennie Bradbury at Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania, Siobahn Day Grady at North Carolina Central University, Amber Wutich at Arizona State University, Danielle Cover at the University of Wyoming, and Pamlea Brady at Talladega College in Alabama.
