The Sewanee Review has presented its 2025 Aiken Taylor Award for Modern American Poetry to Rebecca Gayle Howell, an associate professor for the MFA program in creative writing and translation at the University of Arkansas.
The new deans are Ofosuwa Abiola at Bowie State University in Maryland, Miah Dreger at Springfield Technical Community College in Massachusetts, Jennifer Cooley at the University of the South in Tennessee, and Kathryn Jablokow at Manhattan University in New York.
The three women appointed to university diversity positions are Sonia DeLuca FernaÌndez at the University of Colorado Boulder, Sibby Anderson-Thompkins at Sewanee: The University of the South, and Kauline Cipriani at Colorado State University.
Thaking on new administrative roles are Jennifer Eriksen at Queens University in Charlotte, Daisy Desrosiers at Kenyon College in Ohio, Jamillah Moore at San Francisco State, Maria Michonski at the University of the South, Amanda Sutton at Southern Illinois University, and Marcy Muldrow Sanders at Florida A&M University.
